This is the second course of statistical analysis. Students are required to have taken the first course and have gained solid knowledge on desc<x>riptive statistics, probability and probability distributions, sampling, point estimation, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and the Chi- squared test. Building upon such a foundation, this course will introduce students to the linear regression model, discrete regression models, and the estimation methods for these models. The course will be empirically oriented with a strong emphasis on data analysis. In addition to regular class sessions, there will also be a weekly lab session on R computing.
